About NEC NEC was founded in the fall of 2014 as a clearinghouse for information about canyoneering and waterfall rappelling in the Northeast. There are many unexplored and unpublicized routes and canyoneers looking for something in their backyards, but few if any resources covering this area. We are based out of New York City, but welcome members and content from all over. NEC is not a guide or professional service.
